The focus at this lodge is on packages. So there is only a package rate, not a nightly room rate.
They have several ranging from two to seven nights. The package that we enjoyed (See the link to my blog above) was a three night Classic Package. This is package that probably 90% of our guests purchase. Truth be told, these trips are not inexpensive. But when you factor in everything that is included, it all makes sense. Also be aware that the lodge is like a small city in the middle of nowhere. They generate their own power, collect and purify their own water, and deal with the sewage and waste disposal. Anything not produced on the peninsula, has to come in by boat. Any waste they can’t compost goes out by boat too. Running a five star resort in a true tropical rainforest, while still maintaining a miniscule environmental footprint is a pricey proposition.
But visiting such a place is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We truly feel it is worth it. This lodge is a labor of love.
The package vary. But all include air, van, and boat transportation to and from San Jose (or Manuel Antonio), lodging, meals, guides, and activities. Please call us to discuss the various options.
Here is an overview of the accommodations. All offer everything you’d expect, including safety deposit boxes, ample closets, hot water, tiled floors, ceiling fans and 24-hour electricity provided by the lodges own hydroelectric and solar systems. At the end of the day, you can relax with a glass of wine from your in room mini bar.
Follow the walkways and you will find the Deluxe Bungalow, tucked away in its own private garden and designed with your comfort in mind. These larger bungalows offer a queen bed plus either two or three additional beds perfect for accommodating families or groups of friends.
These bungalows feature wood-beamed ceilings, shutters, and stained glass that are hand-crafted by Costa Rican artisans. You can relax in the lounge/setting area while delighting in the symphony of the sounds of the rainforest.
The bathroom area has separate enclosures for the toilet and showers. Showering doesn’t get better than this! The shower features glass and bamboo doors that connect to the newly furnished ‘’Garden Shower’’, which keeps the flow of energy with the flagstone floor and the natural colors of the tile in a warm light. Our Garden Shower is open to the wild, making it an ideal vantage point from which to absorb the true luxury of nature, without forgetting the privacy needed. Start your day and feel how the sunrays warm your body as the water gently caress your skin, or cool off in the afternoon before dinner, while taking in vistas of the awe-inspiring garden that surrounds you, as well as the endless blue sky.
The contemporary vessel sink complemented by stone or an earthy palette of tile, with awash in a cool, ocean-like atmosphere emanating from a glass block wall in shades of blue and white. The idea is to create a soothing and relaxing feel of the water for you to enjoy a true, magnificent experience, coupled with upscale Italian Lavarino bathroom amenities and pleasing details evoke a spa-like ambiance that will ease your mind and calm your soul.
Outside, a strategically-placed hammock is simply the best vantage point for taking in the natural world all around, or maybe just the best place for enjoying a good book.
The honeymoon suites are extra-private, hidden away in the lush tropical greenery of the beautiful Casa Corcovado gardens. Each offers laid-back comfort and style in harmony with the natural surroundings. The suites feature a queen bed with mosquito net, cooled by an overhead ceiling fan. Each has cushioned benches, a relaxing sitting area, and a large, tiled bathroom. The wood-beamed ceiling, shutters, and stained glass in the doors are hand-crafted by Costa Rican artisans.
Outside, strategically-placed hammocks are the best possible vantage points for taking in the natural world all around, or maybe just the best place for enjoying a good book – perhaps with a glass of red wine from the wooden chest that serves as your Jungle Minibar.
