The Osa Peninsula While on the Osa Peninsula, visit
Corcovado National Park and some of its beautiful waterfalls.
While visiting Osa Peninsula, be sure to visit Corcovado National Park - and while you're there, take a break relaxing in the waterfalls!

One of our visitors gets to
know the locals down in Drake Bay!
Or, if waterfalls aren't your style, try meeting some of the locals - a friendly little squirrel monkey took quite a liking to this guest!
The Osa peninsula is one of the most rustic and beautiful areas of Costa Rica and is home to Corcovado National Park, the largest area of virgin rainforest left on the west coast of the Americas. Scarlet macaws, toucans, monkeys and sloths, are very common here. Occasionally, you will be fortunate enough to spot a cougar or even the occasional jaguar.

All manner of accommodations are available here from "rustic chic" to tents on platforms. The more upscale properties offer electricity and hot water. There are several lodges in the Drake Bay area that offer three and four day packages from San Jose. This is probably one of the best ways to visit this very remote area. The packages include meals, transportation, and usually a tour of Corcovado National Park and a snorkeling trip to Isla del Cano.

If you plan to visit this natural paradise, be prepared to expend some energy having a good time! The terrain is uneven and can be a little difficult for the beginning hiker. Let us know of any physical limitations that you may have.

Visit the lodges on the Peninsula!
Bosque Del Cabo - located atop a cliff looking out on the Pacific Ocean, the bungalos here are perfect for a romantic get-away!
