AI is an amazing tool. But it depends on what purpose you are using it for. Planning a once in a lifetime adventure, isn’t one of them.

AI does not have boots on the ground in Costa Rica. AI has never seen a waterfall, or ridden a zip line. It hasn’t driven the mountain roads. It has never been on a family vacation, or a Honeymoon. It doesn’t know the subtleties or nuances of the experience you are seeking. You need an actual person that understands what your interests and circumstances are.

AI is in a way, a more evolved search engine. But it can easily be fooled. For example, there are a lot of North American ex-pats living in Costa Rica. I see them in the online chat rooms all the time. They are extolling the virtues about whatever beach town that they are living in. Usually with a bunch of other expats. Which is fine for them. No judgement. But AI has picked up on these discussions, and use this info to inform folks about Costa Rica. This info might be great for a retired couple, looking for a retirement destination. Or a confirmed bachelor seeking to meet the local party girls.

But most of the folks that we work with, fall into completely different categories. Couples on honeymoons, or seeking that once in a lifetime adventure. This could be pure adrenaline, intense nature, or extreme luxury. Or the family on a budget, that are trying to show the kids something that they will remember for a lifetime.

We have been working solely in Costa Rica tourism since 1992. We owned a home in Monteverde for almost twenty years, and even operated an office in the Manuel Antonio area for a time. We maintain friendships in local tourism. Folks that we have know for thirty years, and they know us. We truly do know the country from every aspect.

We are listening to you, and can help you figure out your ideal experience. AI doesn’t arrange the bookings or accept the payments. So this falls to you. But we can help with that too.

You also don’t have to deal with multiple hotels, seek out tour operators and transportation companies that will actually show up. We can arrange everything in the proper order, and explain why it makes sense.

And if the itinerary that you share isn’t what you are thinking it is We can let you know why. We can help fix it.

We never pressure our guests into something that they are not comfortable with, or incur unnecessary expenses.

If you want us to finish the job, you don’t pay an extra penny. And you don’t pay us until you have a fully confirmed and itemized itinerary. You also usually don’t have to pay in full when booking. We take a deposit, and accept the remaining balance when they are due by the vendors. You have one point of contact, and you are not sharing sensitive credit card info with a stranger in a foreign land.

Most importantly, we can coordinate with the numerous service providers. We can find the conflicts, and make sure that it all goes smoothly. We can make all the gears mesh perfectly.

And if something goes wrong while you are in Costa Rica, we can help with that too. That includes issues back at home. If you have to cancel something, we know how to navigate that. We have a lot better shot at a refund or credit than a one off buyer
