All supplier information and photos are included only after receiving written permission from the copyright holders. All photos within the Costa Rica Travel Exchange website are by Patrick Hewitt, or used by permission.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We are always willing to do our best to assist customers that must cancel due to emergency situations. However, we are bound by the varying rules and regulations of each individual supplier. We pay them immediately after receiving your funds. Any refund after that point, are done at the discretion of the supplier. We cannot issue refunds that are not approved by the suppliers. This also applies to the bankruptcy or insolvency of a supplier who has been prepaid for services or hotel stays.

There will be no refunds for any reservations canceled less than thirty days prior to date of departure. Reservations canceled more than thirty days prior to departure will be subject to a $100.00 per person penalty. This also applies to changes after initial deposit has been received. This policy may be superseded by any supplier’s stricter policy.

Refunds for payments that were made by credit card, are also subject to a 3.5% surcharge. This is the fee our credit card processor charges us to accept your credit card. They do not refund this fee to us when charges are refunded to us, or directly to the client.

We are not responsible for the failure of any conveyance to arrive or depart on time, and any subsequent loss of reservations or other expenses incurred as a result of same.

The owners and employees of Costa Rican Travel Exchange Inc. and LoveCostaRica.com are not responsible for any injuries (including death) while riding in any conveyance arranged by our company, or on any tour arranged by our company.

FORCE MAJEURE

In no event shall the Costa Rica Travel Exchange be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, epidemics / pandemics, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes or acts of God, inclement weather, any interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software and hardware) services; it being understood that we shall use reasonable efforts which are consistent with accepted practices in the travel industry as soon as practicable under the circumstances.

Customers are aware that there are inherent risks in any travel experience, and agrees to hold seller blameless for any loss experienced while traveling.

COSTA RICAN TRAVEL EXCHANGE INC. STRONGLY URGES THAT ALL TRAVELERS PURCHASE TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE AND VERIFY COVERAGE WITH YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE PROVIDER.

By authorizing Costa Rican Travel Exchange Inc to proceed with your travel arrangements, you verify your understanding and complete agreement with these terms and conditions.
